Benefits & FAQs

The investment of hardwood/laminate/vinyl floors will add intrinsic beauty and value to your home. But then there are reasons, beyond the traditional values, which make hardwood/laminate/vinyl floors a practical and decorative preference.

  • Healthy indoor air quality:  hardwood/laminate/vinyl floors are very easy to clean as they do not accumulate a lot of dirt, dust, and debris and are a healthy choice for interior environments as they have no fibers, grout lines or embossing that can trap dust, pollen, particles, animal dander and allergens that occur with carpets. They are the best choice of flooring with allergy sufferers and improve air quality.

  • Ageless quality:  hardwood/laminate/vinyl floors give an elegant aesthetic and high-end look and offer the warmth, beauty and never go out of style. Hardwood floors are also said to enable a look of spaciousness wherever they are installed.

  • Hardwood floors are tough, hard-wearing, and have long-term durability. They can stand up to active workspaces and heavy foot traffic. When other floors will begin to look tired and worn, your hardwood floors will still look beautiful, and your hardwood floors become more valuable as time goes by. Unlike carpeting, hardwood floors can be refinished rather than replaced when the finish has worn out.

When properly maintained your floors will continue to add splendor to your home for decades to come.  Following are some suggestions/advisories tor proper maintenance for your hardwood floors:

  • Maintain temperatures between 15 – 24 degrees Celsius, and humidity levels between 35 – 55% within your home.

  • Low humidity can cause shrinkage and show separation between boards, while high humidity can cause expansion and cupping.

  • Regularly dry dust using a microfiber dusting pad.

  • Vacuum weekly using a soft-bristle head attachment and then mop with light strokes using minimal water and cleaners safe for the floors, family and atmosphere.

  • Avoid string mops which put excessive amounts of water on the floor, vinegar and soap based cleaners.

  • Use floor protectors under furniture.

  • Use soft rugs and mats in high traffic areas.

  • Avoid walking in high heels.

  • Wipe up spills immediately.
